PFC Joe McGarry Memorial Golf Tournament

The RI Police Officers Emerald Society (RIPOES) is sponsoring a Golf Tournament in honor of PFC Joe McGarry who was fatally shot in Myrtle Beach, SC on December 29, 2002, while apprehending a criminal. Joe and his father are both members of the RIPOES. The proceeds of the tournament will go to the "RIPOES Joseph McGarry Scholarship, Fund" at Salve Regain University and Coastal Carolina University. This
scholarship is for children of police officers and aspiring ADJ students. At the request of the McGarry family, the Fund will also sponsor a scholarship at Hendricken High School in honor of Joe's long time friend, Warwick police officer David Kelly, who we lost tragically this past May. Please join the McGarry family, the members of the RIPOES and the men and women of Law Enforcement and help make this event a success.
