Welcome to the RI Police Officers Emerald Society. The RI Police Officers Emerald Society is made up of active and retired members of Law Enforcement, along with their friends, family and associates. Our members are spread throghout the country and even oversea back in Ireland. Please take some time and look around the site. In Gods Hands Obituary: Maria Silva, Age 78, Mother of Society Member Armindo DaSilva. Lt. Ed Callery, Cranston PD Retired 25 Year Vetern Major Joseph P. O'Rourke, Age 82, Retired a 23 year vetern of the Rhode Island State Police. Major O'Rourke was a long time member of the Emerald Society, and very proud of his Irish Heritage. His son, Brian is the Chief of the Coventry Police Separtment. Our prayers are with the O'Rourke Family.
